Only three have 975 pages: this undated edition, one edition dated 1830, and another dated 1833. This Bible, belonging to the Kaufman family whose records are penned in the registry, is printed in fraktur, and had a total of 40 plates. (Update: a Kaufman family representative indicates the plates were removed for display in the family farmhouse in Missouri.) Binding is leather, blackened at the top edge, apparently from long-term storage on the hearth or mantle of a fireplace.
